Hey mate!

A = P (1+ R/100)N

Initial population of the city (P) = 30,000

Rate of increase (R) = 5% pa

N (number of years) =3

Population of the city after 3 years = A

A = 30000(1+5/100)³

= 30000(105/100)³

= (30000*105*105*105)/(100*100*100)

A = 34728.75

Therefore, the population of the city after 3 years is 34728.75
