Initial = Z kg
Suresh's uncle came to his house and took half the
quantity of vegetables and half a KG of vegetables.
= Z/2 + 1/2
Remaining = Z - ( Z/2 + 1/2)
= ( Z - 1 ) /2
Suresh's brother came to his house and took half the
quantity of vegetables and half a KG of vegetables.
= ( Z - 1 ) /4 + 1/2
Remaining = ( Z - 1 ) /2 - ( ( Z - 1 ) /4 + 1/2 )
= ( Z - 1 ) /4 - 1/2
= ( Z - 3) /4
Suresh's cousin came to his house and took half the
quantity of vegetables and half a KG of vegetables.
( Z - 3) /8 + 1/2
( Z - 3) /4 = ( Z - 3) /8 + 1/2 as nothing left
=> ( Z - 3) /8 = 1/2
