Answer:  Since my parents are only in the deep recesses of my feeble memory in my eighties, you may decide i am not your legitimate replier. yet, since your query concerns a very serious matter, i am braving a reply.

the question is:

whether Tumi covered the bulb so as to hide it behind the curtain of a towel OR he wrapped the bulb tight with this towel?;

whether the bulb was an incandescent bulb or a compact fluorescent bulb or an LED bulb?;

whether what power was the bulb if it was incandescent, or fluorescent or LED?

if you do not have these details, ask/advise Tumi to keep a safe distance between his bulb and his bulb-covering towel and stop dreaming of incidental/eventual hazards.

No risking with lighted bulbs. better put it off and rely on street light out there to aid Tumi’s night vision, in case he ever needs to spot his toilet. sound sleep!
