Tundra is largely restricted to the northern hemisphere; there simply is no comparable land mass in the southern hemisphere with the appropriate climate.

The Tundra region is limited to the northern hemisphere solely. The reason behind this is there is no land mass in the southern hemisphere that has an appropriate climate for a tundra region.

The plant species in the Tundra region have a particular characteristic, and they grow very low on the ground. Therefore, it is not suitable for the Southern hemisphere.

And thus because of many such reasons, the tundra region is found only in the northern hemisphere and not in the southern hemisphere.
