Tungsten metal is used to make solenoid type of coil in electric bulb

Tungsten is used in electric bulb because Tungsten has a higher resistance and also . have a very high melting point . So , it doesn't melt easily even if we paas high voltage current .the very thin filament of bulb is made up of this metal . light bulb glows when high current is passed through the filament ....
