Curcumin is the main component of turmeric extracts which expresses a yellow color in acid and/or neutral medium while presenting as orange or reddish-brown in the base condition [24], [25], [26] as a natural pH indicator. Traditionally, lime (hydrated lime) was generated by calcining shells at a boiling temperature.
