Direct speech :- The sentence is said to be in direct speech when we spoke the exact words spoken by the speaker.

Indirect speech :- The sentence is said to be in indirect speech when we modify the words used by the speaker.

He said to me"Do you like tea or coffee".

He asked me if I liked tea or coffee.
