the govt has finally pulled the country out of vicious cycle and pushed it into virtuous cycle.
Many of their policies are falling in place/maturing and are giving the network/synergy effect.
The Jan Dhan - Aadhaar - Mobile troika along with DBT has changed the subsidy situation drastically. Not only are leaks plugged, but this allows targeting to those who are really needy.
Demo and GST have moved a significant section of informal economy to formal economy. As tax base widens, it will allow government to plan expenditures better. The skew of direct tax Vs indirect tax is getting normalised.
Govt is not afraid of increasing tax collections even on unpopular things like cess on Petrol. It has controlled inflation and fiscal deficits much better. Now it is able to fund social programs like the health insurance for the poor.
There are plenty more of these in fields like Foreign relations, Simplification/de-regulation, electrification, LPG connection, toilet building, kms/day constructed, sagarmala etc etc etc.
And they have managed all this without any scam at the cabinet.
