let the age of sons be x&that of fathers be y.
2x+y=70.................(1)
x+2y=95......................(2)
by adding equation no. (1)&(2)
3x+3y=165
x+y=55...................(3)
subtracting eq no.(2) from (1)
x-y=-25.................(4)
adding eqno. (3)&(4)
2x=30
x=15
substituting x=15 in eqno.(3)
y=40
son's age is 15&father's age is 40

Son age = 15

Father age = 40

To find:

son age = ?

father age = ?

Given data:

Twice son age is added to father age sum = 70

twice father age is added to son age sum = 95

Solution:

let son be S and father be F, then

2 S + F = 70-------1

S + 2F = 95-------2

multiplying equation 1 into 2 we get,

4 S + 2 F = 140------1

S + 2 F = 95---------2

subtracting 1 and 2 we get,

3 S = 45

S = 15

substituting S value in equation 1 we get,

2 S + F = 70-------1

2 X 15 + F = 70

30 + F = 70

F = 70 - 30

F = 40
