Answer:

Let the numbers be x and y

x = 10

y = ?

Given, 2 (x+y) = 36

2 (10+y) = 36

20 + 2y = 36

2y = 36 - 20

2y = 16

y = 16/2

y = 8

The other number is 8

Hope it helps..
