Answer:

Lets draw a ║gm [║gm means parallelogram]

Note:

  1. I used ms paint for the figure down below.
  2. I labelled the parts as ABCD, you can label it with any letters.

Let ∠A and ∠B be (3x - 4)° and (3x + 16)° respectively.

Here, opposite sides of a parallelogram are equal. So obviously ∠C=(3x - 4)° and ∠D=(3x + 16)°.

Now, We know that adjacent angles of a ║gm are supplementary. Thus,

(3x - 4)+(3x + 16)=180

6x+12=180

6x=180-12

6x=168

x=28°

Now, substitute the value of x in ∠A, ∠B, ∠C, ∠D.

∠A=(3x - 4)°=3×28-4=80°

∠B=(3x+16)°=3×28+16=100°.

Since ∠A=∠C, ∠C=80°

Since ∠B=∠D, ∠D=100°

Answer:

The two adjacent angles of a parallelogram = 180 degrees.

Therefore (3x - 4) + ( 3x + 16) = 180

6x + 12 = 180

6x = 180 - 12

6x = 168

x = 168/6

x = 28 degrees

Therefore (3x - 4) = 80 degrees

(3x + 16) = 100 degrees.

Hope this helps
