Two adjacent angles of a rhombus are in the ratio 4:5 find the measure of its other two angles?

Sum of the adjacent angles in any rhombus = 180

ratio of adjacent angles = 4:5 (given)

let first angle = 4x

second angle = 5x

4x+5x=180

9x=180

x=180/9

x= 20

therefore

required angles are

first angle = 4x= 4×20 =80

second angle = 5x= 5×20 =100

The measure of the other two angles are 80 degrees and 100 degrees.

KEY POINTS TO REMEMBER :-

☸️ Properties of a Rhombus are as follows :-

1⃣All the sides of a rhombus are congruent.

2⃣Opposite sides of a rhombus are parallel.

3⃣The diagonals of a rhombus bisect each other at right angles.

4⃣Opposite internal angles of a rhombus are congruent (equal in size).

5⃣Any two consecutive internal angles of a rhombus are supplementary; i.e. the sum of their angles =180° (equal in size).

6⃣If each angle of a rhombus is 90°, it is a square.

7⃣ Opposite angles of the rhombus are always congruent that is equal.

☸️ SUM OF CO INTERIOR ANGLES (SOCIA)

Refer point number 5 of the above properties.

The sum of the adjacent angles between two parallel lines is equal to 180 degrees.
