Let the angles be 5x and 4x

Facts:-

  • The sum of angles on a straight line=180°
  • Adjacent angles are supplementary i.e there sum is 180°.

Solution:-

According to question:-

5x+4x=180

9x=180

x= \frac{180}{9}

x=20°

If you want to find the angles substitute x

1st angle=5x

=5(20)

=100°

2nd angle=4x

=4(20)

=80°
