Answer:

sum of adjacent sides is 180

1x + 5x = 180

6x, 180

x= 180/6=30

1x = 30

5x = 150

opposite sides are equal

Given :

  • Two adjacent angles are in ratio 1 : 5

To find :

  • The value of all the angles of the parallelogram.

Solution :

Let's assume the adjacent angles of the parallelogram as 1x or x and 5x.

Let,

  • ∠A = x
  • ∠B = 5x

So,

➝ ∠A + ∠B = 180°⠀⠀[Co - interior angle]

➝ x + 5x = 180°

➝ 6x = 180°

➝ x = 180/6

➝ x = 30°

Therefore,

A = x = 30°

Also A = C = 30° (Opposite angles)

And ,

B = 5x = 5×30 = 150°

Also B = D = 150° (Opposite angles)

Therefore,

  • All the angles of the parallelogram are : 30°,150°,30°,150° respectively.
