Two adjacent side of a parallelogram are 28 cm and 26 cm .if one diagonal of it is 30cm long then find the area of a parallelogram also find the distance between it's shorter sides.

area of //gm=2×area of triangles

semiperimeter of ∆ (s)= 28+26+30/2

=42cm by heron's formula =√{s(s-a)(s-b)(s-c)}. {where a,b,c are triangle's sides}

=√42×14×16×12

=336cm^2

area of //gm=2×336

=672cm^2

shorter sides be like this

28×h=672cm^2

h=24cm

26×h=672cm^2

h=25.84cm
