Two adjacent sides of a parallelogram are 10 cm and 12 CM if one diagonal of it is 16 cm long find area of the parallelogram also find the distance between it shorter sides

ABCD is a parallelogram and diagonal divide it into two equal parts
Area of tri. ABC =area of tri. ADC

In triangle ABC

s = a + b + c÷2 = 10+12+16÷2. =19
by heron's formula
 \sqrt{s(s - a)(s - b)(s - c}

area of triangle ABC = 59.92
Area of parallelogram ABCD = area of tri.(ABC + ADC)
= 59.92+ 59.92
= 119.84
