Two adjacent sides of a parallelogram are in the ratio 5:3 the perimeter of the parallelogram 48cm. Find the length of each of its sides.

Let the adjacent sides be 5x , 3x .

Given ,

5x + 3x + 5x + 3x = 48

16x = 48

x = 3 .

Length of sides of parallelogram are 15 , 9 , 15 , 9 cm.

Adjacent sides = 5:3
Perimeter= 48cm

Length of each side=?


Opposite sides of PARALLELOGRAM are equal.
Thus, 3rd and 4th side= 5:3

Let length of sides be = x


Perimeter of llgm= sum of all sides
48= 5x+3x+5x+3x
48= 16x
48/16=x
x=3cm

Length of 1 and 3rd side= 5×3=15cm
Length of 2nd and 4th side= 3×3=9cm


Lengths are=. 15cm, 9cm, 15cm, 9cm.
