Given:

Two amplifiers are connected one after the other in series (cascaded).

The first amplifier has a voltage gain of A1 = 10.

the second has a voltage gain of A2 = 20.

Input signal = 0.01V

To Find:

Ouptut of AC Signal

Solution:

When 2 amplifiers are connected in series,

  • Output of first amplifier = A1xVi = 10x 0.01 = 0.1 V
  • Output of second amplifier = A2 x Vi = 20 x 0.1 = 2V

Therefore output AC Signal = 2V.

Now we can infer that the,

  • net gain =  A1 x A2
  • Therefore total gain = 10 x 20 = 200
