To Find : what is the age of the baby​

Solution:

Two and half years ago, the average age of a 6 member family is 16,

Hence total ages Two and half years ago = 6 * 16 = 96

Total ages at the time of baby born = 96 + 6 * 2.5  = 111 years

Let say baby age = x years

( note : baby is born in between those 2.5 years)

Then total age at that time = 111 +  x  years

Average age = (111 +  x)/7   = 16

=> 111 + x  = 112

=> x = 1

Hence  the age of the baby​ is 1  year
