if two angles are supplementary then sum of angles is 180 degrees,it is given that one angle is 1/3rd of the other,let the angles be 1/3(x),x,then we already know that sum of angles is 180 degrees .Therefore,1/3(x)+x=180degrees,then x+3x/3=180 degrees,then 4x/3=180degrees,then 4x=540 degrees,then x=135 degrees,then substitute the values of x in 1/3(x),x;then we get one angle as 45 degrees,another angle as 135 degrees
