Let the ratio be 4x , 5x

Complementary angle = measure of two angles 90⁰

supplementary angle = measure of two angles 180⁰

so, complementary angle == 4x + 5x = 90⁰

or 9x = 90⁰

or x = 90 ÷ 9

or x = 10

so, 4x = 4×10 = 40 ; 5x = 5×10 = 50
