Let x represent the measurement of the 2 equal or congruent angles.

Angle 1: x
Angle 2: x
Angle 3: x+18

Equation: x+x+x+18=180 or 3x+18=180

Why 180? Because the Sum of the interior angles of a triangle is 180°.

Solution:  3x+18=180

3x=180-18

3x=162

 \frac{3x}{3} =  \frac{162}{3}

x= 54

Angle 1: 54°
Angle 2: 54°
Angle 3: 54+18° or 72°

Check: 54+54+72 = 180
