Two angles are complimentary and the measure of one angle is 50 less than the measure of the other. How many
degrees are in each angle?

Answer:

Let the measure of one angle be x and the other one be x–50,

By this,

We know that Complementary angle is of 90° so,

x + x – 50° = 90°

therefore,

x + x = 90° + 50°

2x = 140°

x = 140°

x = 70°

then,

x – 50° = 70° – 50° = 20°

The First angle is 70° and the second one is 20°
