★Given :

  • Two angles are supplementary.
  • One angle is 18° greater than the other.

★To find :

  • Measure of each angle.

★Solution :

Let the measure of one angle is 'x'.

As one angle is 18° greater than the other,

The measure of another angle is x+18.

Given that the two angles are supplementary.

Hence they add upto 180°.That is,

→x+x+18=180

→2x + 18 = 180

→2x = 162

→x = 162/2

x=81°

Therefore,

Measure of another angle:

→x + 18

→81 + 18

99°

Hence,the angles are 81° & 99°.
