Let the angle be x
So, its supplementary angle will be x / 3
Sum of supplementary angles is 180°
According to the given condition
x + x / 3 = 180
☛ 3x + x/3 = 180
☛ 4x/3 = 180
☛ x = 180 × 3/4
☛ x = 135
∴ The angle ☛ x
☛
∴ The supplementary angle
☛ 135/3

Two angles are supplementary. If one of them is one third of the other, find the angles.
Let one angle be = x
The other angle will be =
The angles which have their sum equal to 180° are called supplementary angles.
