Let smaller angle be x

Then larger angle be x + 40

Then,

x + x + 40 = 180. (Supplementary angles)

2x + 40 = 180

2x = 180 -40

2x = 140

x = 70°

Then,

Smaller angle = x = 70°

Larger angle = x + 40 = 70 +40 =110°

Answer:

The two angles are 110 and 70.

Step-by-step explanation:

let larger angle be x while The other be y.

X+Y=180.........1

X=Y+40.........2

Substitute 2 in 1

Y+40+Y=180

2Y=140

Y=70

Substitute value of Y in 1

70+X=180

X=110.

HOPE IT HELPED YOU.....☺️
