2a + 3m = 86
4a + m = 112

2a + 3m = 86
-12a - 3m = - 336____add

-10a = - 250
a = 25

100 + m = 112
m = 12

1 apple 25 rupee
1 mango 12 rupee

Answer:

Rs.10

Step-by-step explanation:

Let cost of 1 apple be x

Let cost of one mango be y

So, cost of 2 apples = 2x

Cost of 4 apples = 4x

Cost of 3 mangoes = 3y

Since we are given that Two apples and three mangoes cost rs.86.

\Rightarrow 2x+3y =86   --a

We are also given that  four apples and a mango cost rs.112.

\Rightarrow 4x+y =112   --b

Solve the equations using substitution method .

Substitute the value of y from b in a

\Rightarrow 2x+3(112-4x) =86

\Rightarrow 2x+336-12x =86

\Rightarrow 336-10x =86

\Rightarrow 336-86 =10x

\Rightarrow 250 =10x

\Rightarrow \frac{250}{10}=x

\Rightarrow 10=x

Hence the cost of an Apple is Rs.10
