Answer:

Rs 25

Step-by-step explanation:

Take apple as x and mangoes as y

A/Q

2x+3y=86  ............eq(i)

4x+y=112  ................ eq(ii)

Multiplying eq(i) with 2 , we get

4x+6y=172

4x+y=112

Subtracting eq(ii) from eq(i) we get

6y-y=172-112

5y=60

y=12

Putting the value of y in eq(i) we get

2x+3(12)=86

2x+36=86

2x=86-36

2x=50

x=25

Therefore cost of an apple is Rs 25

Step-by-step explanation:

let the no. of apples be x and no. of mangoes be y.

A/Q,

2x+3y=Rs. 86

4x+y=Rs.112

y=112-4x

putting this value in 1st equation

2x+3(112-4x)=86

2x+336-12x=86

336-10x=86

336-86=10x

250=10x

250/10=x

x=25

The cost of one apple is 25Rs.
