Hey mate,

the answer will be 7.

Step-by-step explanation:

Let a be the first term of first AP.

Therefore, a' be the first term of second AP.

Given that,

a= -1

a'= -8

Common difference of both the APs are same i.e., d.

Difference between the first terms of both APs

a- a'= -1-(-8)=-1+8=7

We know that fourth term of an AP can be written as "a+3d"

Therefore difference between the fourth terms of both APs, will be

Fourth term of first AP - Fourth term of second AP

a+3d-(a'+3d)= a+3d-a'-3d

Cancelling 3d, we get,

a-a'= -1-(-8)=-1+8=7
