Step-by-step explanation:

Please find below the solution to the asked query:

Given : Two A.P have the same common difference . The first term of one of these is -1 and that of the other is -8. So

For first A.P. , First term = a = -1 and common difference = d

We know nth term of A.P. : Tn = a + ( n - 1 ) d , Here First term = a and common difference = d

So,

4th term of this A.P. = -1 + ( 4 - 1 ) d = -1 + 3 d

And for second A.P. , First term = a = -8 and common difference = d ( As given we have same common difference )

So,

4th term of this A.P. = -8 + ( 4 - 1 ) d = - 8 + 3 d

The difference between their 4th terms = ( -8 + 3 d ) - ( -1 + 3 d ) = -8 + 3 d +1 - 3d = -7 ( Ans )
