Given:

Weight of person A and B, F= 500 N

height, s = 10 m

time taken by A to achieve the task, t_{a} = 20 s

time taken by B to achieve the task, t_{b} = 40 s

To Find:

We are asked to find the ratio of power of person A and B.

Solution:

We know that

Power=\frac{W}{t}=\frac{F*s}{t}

Power of person A,

P_{a}=\frac{F*s}{t_{a} }=\frac{500*10}{20}=250 watts

Power of person B,

P_{b}=\frac{F*s}{t_{b} }=\frac{500*10}{40}=125 watts

Ratio of the powers,

\frac{P_{a} }{P_{b} }=\frac{250}{125}=\frac{2}{1}=2:1

Hence the ratio of powers of person A and B is 2:1
