Two artists are mixing up green paint for a mural. The first artist, Shane, mixes 3 parts blue and 2 parts yellow to make a shade of green. The second artist, Nora, mixes 5 parts blue and 3 parts yellow to make another shade of green. Shane uses 24 ounces of yellow paint in his mixture. How many ounces of blue paint does he use? Hii user...

Good morning....

Here is your answer.....

The first painter shane mixes the blue and green colour in ratio - 3:2 ....

The second painter Nora mixes blue and green colour in the ratio - 5:3 .....

As we know there,

Shane mixes 24 blue colour in his mixture...

We have to find green colour in the mixture.

So let first divide the 24 by 3 as Shane has mixed the blue colour in the first mixture...

=8

Now multiply 2 by 8 as Shane has mixed 2 green colour in the mixture....

=16

So the number of times shane mixes green colour is sixteen....

So the answer is 24:16
