two bags together contain 50 chocolates. from the first bag,12 chocolates were given to o a child . then 8 chocolates where taken from the first pag and put into the second bag to make the number of chocolates equal in both bags .how many chocolates were originally there in each bag?

Let bag A contain x no. Of chocolates

Then no.of chocolates in bag B is

50-x

If 12 chocolate is given to a child then

No. Of chocolate remaining in bag A will be x-12

Now, 8 chocolate were transferred from bag A to Bag B so to make it equal so now chocolate in bag A is x-12-8 and as we took 8chocolate from bag A and put it to Bag B no. Of chocolates now in bag B is 50-x+8

So x-12-8=50-x+8

x+x=50+12+8+8

2x=78

x=39

So no.of chocolates in bag A is 39 and in bag B is 50-x I.e 11
