"You can simply use the formula of F = mass * acceleration. Since, the force is working in equal and opposite direction, they will be equal. Hence,
m1a1 = m2a2
Since both, the weight are connected to a single string with equal force,
100 * 10 = 250 * a2
a2 = 1000/250
a2 4 cm/s^2
since the terms are in g hence you don’t have to change the unit of acceleration.
