Two balls A and B of masses 4m and 8m are in motion with velocities 2v and 3v respectively. Compare the momentum of ball A with ball B.​

Momentum of ball A = 4m × 2v = 8mv

Momentum of ball B = 8m × 3v = 24mv

Clearly momentum of ball B is 3 times the momentum of ball A.

Also ratio of momenta of ball A to ball B is 1 :3.
