Given two balls are dropped from heights and we should calculate the initials heights.

For 1st ball :

S = ut + 1/2 gt^2

   = 0 + 1/2 * g (5)^2

   = 25g/2                    --------------------------- h1

For 2nd ball

S = ut + 1/2 gt^2

   = 0 + 1/2 * g * (3)^2

   = 9g/2                 -------------------------- h2

Now, we should find out the difference between the initials heights :

h1 - h2 = 25g/2 - 9g/2

            = 16g/2

            = 8g

            = 8 * 9.8

           = 78.4m.

The answer is option(2).
