If particle 1st take time x and particle 2nd take y then for 1st particle

Using newton's second equation of motion...

S=ut+1/2gt^2

For 1st particle s=a,...u=0...t=x

Then x={2a/g}^1/2

and similarily y={2b/g}^1/2

Taking their ratio we get

x:y={a/b}^1/2
