Two balls of different masses(one lighter and other heavier) are thrown vertically upward with same initial speed.which one will rise to greater height?

according to Newton's laws of motion
2as = V² - u

According to this equation when both bodies have equal initial velocity both will reach the same height as acceleration acting on both of them is equal( almost).
