Two balls of mass 5 kg and 10 kg Are moving with a velocity of 16 m/sec and 5 m/sec respectively in the same direction. Both the balls moves in the same direction. If after collision ball of mass 5 kg moves with 6 m/sec then find the velocity of 10 kg ball if no external force is acting.
Ma'am can you pls tell the solution of the question....

Answer:

10 m/s

Explanation:

m1 = 5 kg

m2 = 10 kg

u1 = 16 m/s

u2 = 5 m/s

v1 = 6m/s

Applying the conservation of linear momentum,

m1×u1 + m2u2 = m1v1 + m2v2

v2 = [m1×u1 + m2u2 - m1v1] ÷ m2

v2 = [80+50-30]÷10 = 100÷10 = 10 m/s
