In second basket there are 64 apples.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : Two baskets are filled with apple in the ratio 6:8 if the first basket has 48 apples.

To find : How many apples are there in second basket?

Solution :

Let the total number of apple be 'x'.

Two baskets are filled with apple in the ratio 6:8 if the first basket has 48 apples.

i.e. \frac{6}{6+8}\times x=48

\frac{6}{14}\times x=48

x=\frac{48\times 14}{6}

x=112

Total apples were 112.

One basket has 48 apple.

So, other basket has 112-48=64

Therefore, in second basket there are 64 apples.
