→Velocity of B(v₂)=10m/s

→Ratio of momentum of the bodies
Solution:-
Let the masses of A and B be m and their momentum be p₁ and p₂ respectively.
We know that:-
=>p=m×v
Where:-
•p is momentum of the body
•m is mass of the body
•v is velocity of the body
Case 1:-
=>p₁=m×v₁
=>p₁=m×5
=>p₁=5m. ---(1)
Case 2:-
=>p₂=m×v₂
=>p₂=m×10
=>p₂=10m. ----(2)
Now,by diving eq.1 by eq.2,we get:-
=>p₁/p₂ = 5m/10m
=>p₁/p₂ = 1/2
=>p₁ : p₂ = 1:2
Thus,ratio of momentum of the bodies is 1:2.
