if a body is thrown upward with velocity V then the body get maximum height
H=V^2÷(2g)
where , g is the acceleration due to gravity.
as g is constant , the maximum height is proportional to V^2
let H(1)= maximum height of the 1st body
H(2)= maximum height of the 2nd body
V(1)= velocity of the 1st body
V(2)= velocity of 2nd body
then the ratio of maximum height is,
H(1)/H(2) = {V(1)^2}/V(2)^2}
= (2^2)/(3^2)
=4/9
so, H(1) : H(2)= 4 : 9
H=V^2÷(2g)

let H(1)= maximum height of the 1st body
H(2)= maximum height of the 2nd body

then the ratio of maximum height is,
H(1)/H(2) = {V(1)^2}/V(2)^2}
= (2^2)/(3^2)
=4/9
so, H(1) : H(2)= 4 : 9
