Two bodies have equal masses and are moving with uniform velocity of 2v and 3v.What is the ratio of their kinetic energies??

A mass is dropped from height 'h'. At half way to the ground, what is the total energy??

Hey mate hope it helps you.....

1. k.e of particle with speed 2v = 1/2(m)(4v^2)

k.e of particle with speed 3v = 1/2(m)(9v^2)

There fore the ratio is 4/9.

2. At half way ground the total energy is equal to the kinetic energy + potential energy at that point ( height = 1/2h)

total energy = 1/2mv^2 + mgh/2

HOPE IT HELPS YOU.........
