Two bodies have masses in the ratio 3 : 4.
When a force is applied on first body, it
moves with an acceleration of 6 m/s2
. How

produce in the other body ?

Answer:

Let us consider the two masses as 3x and 4x respectively.Given acceleration of first body as 6.

F=m×a

F=3x×6=18x

As we are applying same force for the second body,

18x=4x×a

⇒a=18/4=4.5m/s

Hence acceleration is 4.5m/s
