Answer:

Let the mass of the bodys are m

So the kinetic energy of the 1st body is KE1=(1/2)mv^2

The kinetic energy of the 2nd body is KE2=(1/2)m(3v)^2

=(9/2)mv^2

So the ratio of kinetic energy is

KE1:KE2

=(1/2):(9/2)

=1:9

HERE IS YOUR ANSWER :-

we have given that mass of two bodies are same

So , mass of the two bodies = m

velocity of body 1 = v

therefore, it's kinetic energy =

1/2(mv²)

velocity of body 2 = 3v

therefore it's kinetic energy =

1/2(9mv²)

Now , ratio of their kinetic energy =

{1/2(mv²)} /{1/2(9mv²)

= 1 : 9
