Answer:

kinetic energy =1/2mv^2

kinetic energy of 1st objects = 1/2mv^2

kinetic energy of 2nd object = 1/2m9v^2

ratio=1:9

Explanation:

We have given bodies of equal masses i.e we can consider "m" for the masses of the two bodies

V1= V

V= 3V

Therefore kinetic energy of 1st body = ½mV²--(1)

Kinetic energy of 2nd body = ½m(3V)² = ½m9V²----(2)

Dividing eq 1 by 2 (To find the ratios of K.E of the two bodies)

 \frac{ \frac{1}{2} m {v}^{2} }{\frac{1}{2}m  \: 9 {v}^{2} }

= 1:9
