Two bodies of equal masses moves with uniform velocity v and 3v respectively. Find the ratio of their ke.

K.E of first body = k.e = 1/2 mv^2

K.E of second body = K.E = 1/2 m(3v)^2 = 9/2mv^2

Therefore,

k.e/K.E = (1/2 mv^2)/(9/2 mv^2)

=) k.e : K.E = 1 : 9
