Let tension be T and acceleration be a m1=2 kg and m2=4 kg
So, T-m1g=m1a............(i)
m2g-T=m2g.............(ii)
Solving eq. simultaneously we get
m2g-m1g=m1a+m2a
Putting value of m1 and m2
a=20/6
Putting value of T in eq 1
We get T= 80/3
