Given:-

Two bodies of masses 4kg and 5 kg are acted upon by the same force. If the acceleration of lighter body is 2m/s².

which means:

  • Mass Of Lighter Body= 4kg
  • Acceleration of Lighter Body= 2m/s²
  • Mass Of Heavier Body= 5kg

To Find:-

  • the acceleration of the heavier body.

Solution:-

Force \:  On \:  l ighter \:  Body= mass \times acceleration

f = 4kg \times 2m {s}^{ - 2}

= > f = 8N

We Know that the Same Force acting upon the Both body

\therefore \: force \: on \: lighter \: body = force \: on \: heavier \: body

= > 8N = 5 \times \: acceleration

\therefore \: acceleration = \frac{8}{5} m {s}^{ - 2} = 1.6m {s}^{ - 2}
