Answer:

light object has more kinetic energy

Explanation:

kinetic energy is the energy which a object has because of motion.

we can say if a object has more velocity, it has more kinetic energy.

we know that momentum is the sum of velocity and mass.

if we consider,

m1 (mass of lighter object) = 20kg

m2 (mass of heavier object) = 30kg

velocity of lighter object = v1

velocity of heavier object = v2

momentum of both the objects = 60kg m/s

we even know that they have same momentum

therefore,

for lighter object,

m1 X v1 = momentum

20 X v1 = 60

v1 = 3 m/s

for heavier object,

m2 X v2 = momentum

30 X v2 = 60

v2 = 2m/s

so, lighter object has more velocity and more kinetic energy

Answer:

the lighter one has more kinetic energy

Explanation:

momentum is velocity×mass so the heavier one has less velocity as its mass is more while the lighter one has more kinetic energy as its velocity is more than the heavier one

and kinetic energy is 1/2 × mv2 so if velocity is more kinetic energy will also be more

MATHEMATICAL EXPLANATION

let mass of heavier body be 6 kg and the smaller one be 2 kg let their velocities be 2 kmph and 6 kmph respectively

∴ kinetic energy of heavier body =   1/2 mv² =

1/2 × 6×4 =

12 kg.m/s

∴ kinetic energy of lighter one = 1/2 × 2×36

= 36 kg.m/s

here u can see the kinetic energy  of lighter one is more than the heavier one

hope it helps please rate accordingly
